Redemption Application

Thank you for starting your Help to Buy repayment application.

This form will guide you through the steps to begin paying back your loan. Providing you have the information required, this should take between 5 - 10 minutes.

If you're unable to complete the application, you can press the logout button at any time. Your progress will be saved for 7 days. An administration fee must be paid for your application to be processed. You can find the fee amounts and additional information here: Help to Buy administration fees

What you need before you start
Before you can go to the next step, make sure you have these things ready:
  • Your name, account number, and the address of your home
  • A copy of your home's value from a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) report
  • The name and contact details of the person helping you with the sale (called a conveyancer)
  • Information about how you plan to pay off your loan, including sales value if selling the property

We may need more information and documentation to support your application. This could include:

  • Any changes you've made to your home, for example building work
  • Documents that show the cladding rating, like an External Wall System form (EWS1)
    • If your block of flats has certain types of external cladding, you may need a specialist valuation on your property. You can click here to learn more.
  • Proof of where your money is coming from. This could be:
    • A bank statement if you're using your own money
    • A Memorandum of Sale if you're selling your home

If you don't provide the documents we need, it may take longer to finish your application.

If you're getting a new mortgage to pay back your Help to Buy loan, we'll tell you how much you need to pay. Then, we’ll ask you to send us a letter from your bank that says they agree to give you the new mortgage. After that, we can finish helping you pay off your loan.

If you want to repay using a mixture of repayment types, you are currently unable to use this service.
